Sacramento County (Calif.) Employees' Retirement System committed $35 million to Digital Colony Partners II, an infrastructure fund that concentrates on data centers, cell towers and digital billboards among other investments, confirmed Steve Davis, chief investment officer of the $11.6 billion pension fund.
In addition, the two hedge funds that were put on watch in July — Lakewood Capital Partners for performance reasons and KLS Diversified Asset Management's KLS Diversified Fund for performance and organizational issues — remained on the retirement system's watchlist. The Lakewood fund has $47 million in assets for the pension fund, while the KLS fund manages $38 million.
