Rhode Island Council on Postsecondary Education, Warwick, is searching for a record keeper for the state's college retirement plans.
The council is considering consolidating the plans to a single record keeper, according to an RFP posted on the state's procurement website.
The Rhode Island Council on Postsecondary Education oversees the state's public higher education system, which consists of Rhode Island College and the Community College of Rhode Island. The RFP also includes the retirement plans of the University of Rhode Island.
The 401(a), 403(b) and 457 plans have combined assets of more than $1.3 billion, according to the RFP.
The RFP is available on the state's purchasing website. Proposals are due at 2:30 p.m. EST on Jan. 15. A timeline for a selection was not provided.
