Retirement Systems of Alabama, Montgomery, is searching for investment valuation services for its private debt and private equity holdings.
The state's three pension funds have a combined $39.1 billion in assets. The state's $25.7 billion Teachers' Retirement System has an allocation of 5.5% to private placement and private equity; the $13.1 billion Employees' Retirement System, 6.4%; the $315 million Judicial Retirement Fund, 0.4%.
The RFP is available on retirement systems' website. Proposals are due 5 p.m. CDT on April 2. A selection is expected to be made in April.
