Rent-A-Center Inc., Plano, Texas, hired J.P. Morgan as record keeper of its 401(k) plan, the company disclosed Wednesday in an 8-K filing with the SEC.
J.P. Morgan will become record keeper effective Oct. 1, replacing NestEgg Consulting, an affiliate of Intrust Bank. A blackout period for participants will begin on Sept. 17 and end during the week of Oct. 27.
The reason for the change was not provided.
As of Dec. 31, the Rent-A-Center Inc. 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan had $191 million in assets and featured 18 investment options and a target-date fund lineup managed by MFS Investment Management, according to the company's most recent 11-K filing.
