Quincy (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an active domestic small-cap value equity manager to run about $15 million.
The $810 million pension fund is seeking proposals from managers with experience managing portfolios benchmarked to the Russell 2000 Value index, according to an RFP posted on the website of investment consultant Meketa Investment Group, which is assisting with the search.
As of April 30, the actual allocation to domestic equities was 22.2%; the target is 24%.
Also as of that date, Brown Advisory was the manager of a $16 million active domestic small-cap value equity portfolio.
The RFP does not disclose whether the services being put up for bid are for the existing portfolio or an additional portfolio.
The RFP is available on Meketa Investment Group's website. Proposals are due at noon EDT on Sept. 8. A timeline for a selection was not provided.
