PPG Industries Inc., Pittsburgh, hired Fidelity Investments as record keeper of its 401(k) plan, company spokesman Mark Silvey said.
Fidelity will replace Alight Solutions, according to the filing. The change was made “to generate savings for participants,” Mr. Silvey said.
A blackout period for participants begins at 4 p.m. EST on Dec. 31 and will end during the week of Jan. 10.
As of Dec. 31, 2019, the PPG Industries Employee Savings Plan had $4 billion in assets, according to an 11-K filing.
