Plymouth (Mass.) Retirement System is searching for an active U.S. large-cap core equity manager to run between $4 million and $9 million on behalf of the $226 million defined benefit plan.
The search is being conducted to comply with state regulations, said Wendy Cherry, retirement system director. Wellington Management Co. is the current manager and is welcome to rebid.
Fiducient Advisors, investment consultant to the pension fund, is assisting with the search.
The RFP is scheduled to be available on Fiducient's website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. EDT June 29. Ms. Cherry said the board has not yet determined a time frame for selecting a manager.
In addition, the board rehired Wellington Management in May to continue managing $33 million in a core fixed-income strategy. The retirement system had issued an RFP in February to comply with state law.
