Plymouth (Mass.) Retirement System hired Lazard Asset Management to run about $9 million in active international growth equities.
The $215 million pension fund's board approved the hiring of Lazard at its Sept. 14 meeting, said Wendy Cherry, director of the retirement system.
The pension fund issued an RFP in April to comply with state regulations requiring services must be put up for bid every few years.
Invesco, the incumbent manager, was a finalist along with MFS Investment Management.
Investment consultant Fiducient Advisors assisted.
