Plymouth County (Mass.) Retirement Association is seeking up to three North American small- and middle-market buyout private equity managers to run about $12 million.
Meketa Investment Group, investment consultant to the $1 billion pension fund, is assisting with the search.
First-time funds, funds of funds and public equity strategies will not be considered.
The pension fund's allocation to private equity as of June 30 was 4%; its target is 13%, according to documents on the pension fund's website.
An RFP looking to allocate $12 million to North American small- and middle-market buyout private equity managers was previously issued in April. It could not be learned whether this is a reissue of that RFP or a new request.
The RFP is available on Meketa's website. Proposals are due at noon EST on Feb. 18. A selection date was not disclosed.
Peter Manning, director of investments at the pension fund, and Colleen Smiley, a principal at Meketa, could not be immediately reached for further information.
