Plymouth County (Mass.) Retirement Association is searching for an active domestic midcap value equity manager to run about $55 million.
The $1.1 billion pension fund is considering only commingled funds or mutual funds, according to an RFP posted on the website of Meketa Investment Group, the pension fund's investment consultant.
According to the pension fund's most recent investment report posted on its website, Fisher Investments was the sole midcap value equity manager as of July 31, managing a $53 million portfolio as of that date.
It could not be immediately learned whether Fisher's portfolio is up for bid or whether this would be an additional midcap value equity manager.
As of July 31, the actual allocation of domestic equities was 26.5%.
The RFP is available on Meketa Investment Group's website. Proposals are due at noon EDT on Oct. 30. A timeline for a decision was not provided.
Peter Manning, director of investments, and David Sullivan, executive director, both at the pension fund, and Tom Dunleavy, investment analyst at Meketa, could not be immediately reached for further information.
