Plymouth County (Mass.) Retirement Association is searching for a small-cap growth equities manager to run about $90 million for the $1.2 billion pension fund.
Meketa Investment Group, the retirement plan's investment consultant, is assisting with the search.
Boston Co. is the plan's sole current small-cap growth manager running $83 million as of Nov. 30, according to the most recent investment report posted on the pension fund's website. It wasn't immediately known whether Boston's portfolio is up for bid or whether the fund was hiring an additional small-cap growth manager.
Respondents must have been in operation for at least five years and have at least $1 billion in total assets under management to be considered.
The RFP is available on Meketa's website. Proposals are due at noon EST on March 9. A selection date was not disclosed.
Peter Manning, director of investments, and David Sullivan, executive director, both at the pension fund, and Tom Dunleavy, investment analyst at Meketa, could not be immediately reached for additional information.
