Pittsburgh Comprehensive Municipal Pension Trust Fund is searching for one or more S&P 500 index managers to run up to $175 million.
The $954 million pension fund posted a request for proposals on its website. According to the RFP, the "performance and strategy of the investments will be measured against the S&P 500," and more than one manager may be selected.
The RFP does not provide further information on any current manager or whether the manager is eligible to rebid. As of June 30, 2022, State Street Global Advisors managed $159 million in an S&P 500 index fund for the pension fund, according to its most recent available investment report.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. EDT on July 7. A timeline for a selection was not provided.
