Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System, Harrisburg, is seeking active long credit fixed-income managers to run more than $1 billion.
PennSERS intends to allocate to this strategy over 18 months and may select more than one portfolio. Proposed strategies must be benchmarked to the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. Long Credit index.
Callan, investment consultant to the $34.5 billion pension fund, is assisting with the search.
The RFP is available on Callan's website. Proposals are due March 19. A selection is expected to be made by the end of June, with the contract to be awarded in July.
Pamela Hile, spokeswoman for the pension fund, and representatives from Callan, could not be immediately reached for additional information.
