Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System, Harrisburg, is searching for an active domestic large-cap growth equity manager to run about $215 million.
Dahab Associates, investment consultant to the $2.6 billion pension fund, is assisting with the search.
The search is being conducted because the pension fund's contract with incumbent Polen Capital will expire soon, said Christopher Mills, research analyst at Dahab. Polen is invited to rebid.
Domestic large-cap equities account for 25% of the pension fund's investment portfolio.
The RFP is available on Dahab's website. Proposals are due 5 p.m. EST Jan. 23. A timeline for selecting a manager has not yet been determined.
In September, the pension fund also launched a separate large-cap growth equity search for a $100 million mandate run by Federated Investors, which was invited to rebid.
