Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System, Harrisburg, rehired Empower Retirement as third-party administrator for the state's $4.5 billion 457 plan and $218 million 401(a) plan, said a news release Aug. 28.
The retirement system had issued an RFP in February due to the upcoming expiration of Empower's contract on Dec. 31, spokeswoman Pamela Hile said at the time.
The names of the other finalists were not disclosed.
