Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System, Harrisburg, committed roughly $370 million to three private equity funds, documents from the $55.8 billion pension plan show.
At its Oct. 9 meeting, the PennPSERS board committed nearly $170 million to Insight Partners Opportunities Fund I, a growth fund that targets investment opportunities in the software sector.
The board also committed ¥10.6 billion ($100 million) to Polaris Private Equity Fund V, a Japan-focused buyout fund managed by Polaris Capital Group, and $100 million to Greenoaks Capital Opportunities Fund III, a venture capital fund.
Investment consultant Hamilton Lane Advisors assisted in the fund selections.
