Oklahoma Teachers' Retirement System, Oklahoma City, committed $375 million to private equity manager Franklin Park Associates to invest in multiple funds and deals in the 2024 calendar year, according to Sarah Green, executive director of the $21.7 billion retirement system.
The commitment was approved at a board meeting on Jan. 24, she said.
Oklahoma Teachers plans to commit the money to seven Franklin Park buyout funds and three Franklin Park vehicles, according to board meeting materials.
It is looking to commit $60 million to Franklin Park Co-Investment Fund VI and $40 million each to Franklin Park Venture Capital Fund XV and Franklin Park Opportunity II.
The names of the planned investments to the seven Franklin Park buyout funds were not disclosed.
As of Dec. 31, Oklahoma Teachers had 8.4% of its assets in private equity. Its target allocation is 8%.
