Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System, Oklahoma City, is looking for an actuarial consultant.
The selected firm will provide an independent actuarial audit, evaluation and review of the actuarial services provided by OPERS' current actuarial consultant, said Joseph Fox, executive director of the $12.5 billion pension fund, in an email. Cavanaugh Macdonald Consulting is the current actuarial consultant.
"The audit will review the most recent actuarial valuations and experience study for two defined benefit plans in order to express an actuarial opinion regarding the reasonableness and/or accuracy of the valuation results, actuarial assumptions and actuarial methods in accordance with the generally recognized and accepted actuarial principles and practices," Mr. Fox said.
The RFP is available on the fund's website. Proposals are due by 4:30 p.m. CST on March 15.
