Oklahoma Police Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City, committed $25 million to TA XIV, a middle-market growth equity fund managed by TA Associates, Executive Director Ginger Sigler said in an email.
The $3 billion pension fund previously committed $10 million to TA XIII in December 2019, according to the pension fund's latest financial report.
OPPRS also committed $20 million to Redmile Biopharma Investments III, a venture capital fund managed by the Redmile Group.
No previous investments to Redmile's biopharma fund were made in the past, Ms. Sigler said.
Both private equity investments were approved at a board meeting Wednesday.
The pensions fund's current allocation to private equity is 9.38%. Its target allocation is 15%.
