Oklahoma Firefighters Pensions & Retirement System, Oklahoma City, made three co-investment commitments of $50 million each.
The $3.8 billion pension fund committed to Adams Street Co-Investment Fund V, managed by Adams Street Partners, LGT Capital Partners Crown Co-Investment Opportunities III and Schroders Capital Private Equity Global Direct III, according to Troy Brown, executive director at AndCo Consulting, the pension fund's investment consultant.
The pension fund board approved the commitments at a meeting on Sept. 17, Mr. Brown said in an email.
The investments in the three private equity funds are first-time commitments to each of the three money managers, according to Mr. Brown.
The pension fund's actual allocation to "other equity," which is where the $50 million commitments will reside, is largely unfunded, Mr. Brown said. Its target allocation is 5%.
