Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City, made commitments to two alternatives funds totaling $45 million, according to Troy Brown, executive director at AndCo Consulting, the pension fund's investment consultant.
The pension fund committed $25 million to Ironsides Co-Investment Fund VII. The commitment to the fund managed by Constitution Capital Partners was approved at a board meeting Nov. 17 and represents the pension fund's first commitment to the asset manager, Brown said in an email.
As of Sept. 30, Oklahoma Firefighters' actual allocation to other equity was 3.7%. Its target is 5%.
The board also committed $20 million to Comvest Credit Partners VII, a direct lending fund managed by Comvest Partners. The pension fund previously committed $40 million to Comvest Credit Partners VI in September 2022.
As of Sept. 30, Oklahoma Firefighters' actual allocation to other fixed income, which includes direct lending, was 6.4%. Its target is 5%.
