Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, Columbus, is to launch a search Tuesday for at least one investment consultant, spokesman Tony Gottschalk confirmed.
The bureau, which oversees $26.6 billion in state insurance assets including the $24 billion State Insurance Fund, is issuing the RFP due to the pending expiration of current consultant RVK's contract on June 30.
RVK, which provides general consulting services, will be eligible to rebid. The bureau may also consider hiring two consultants: one for general investment consulting and one for real estate consulting only.
The RFP will be posted on the state of Ohio's procurement website. Proposals will be due Dec. 10. A selection is expected in May.
