Ohio State Teachers Retirement System, Columbus, hired Global Governance Advisors as its governance consultant.
The $97.3 billion pension fund’s board approved the hiring at its Oct. 16 meeting, a webcast of the meeting showed.
The pension fund issued an RFP in May for a governance consultant to replace Aon, which resigned from the assignment in April.
Aon's fiduciary services practice had been retained in 2023 following a previous RFP process to implement recommendations by board governance consulting firm Funston Advisory Services, which conducted a fiduciary performance audit on the system in May 2022.
The Hackett Group was the other finalist.
