Ohio State Teachers' Retirement System, Columbus, is searching for managers to run between $100 million and $400 million in international small-cap equities.
Callan, investment consultant to the $78.8 billion pension fund, is assisting with the search.
The board is seeking strategies benchmarked against the MSCI ACWI ex-U.S. Small-Cap index, although strategies benchmarked against the MSCI World ex-U.S. Small-Cap index with opportunistic exposure to emerging markets will also be considered.
The RFP is available on Callan's website. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. EDT on Sept. 30. A selection date was not disclosed.
Callan spokeswoman Elizabeth Anathan referred questions to pension fund spokesman Nick Treneff, who did not return a phone call.
