Ohio State Teachers Retirement System, Columbus, made four new private equity commitments totaling $525 million, spokesman Nick Treneff said in an email.
The $78.6 billion pension fund committed $200 million each to Advent Global Private Equity IX, a buyout fund managed by Advent International, and TA XIII, a middle-market buyout fund managed by TA Associates; $100 million to Hermes Global Private Equity Ohio Sidecar II, managed by Hermes GPE, and about $25 million to Quadrant Growth Fund, a growth equity fund managed by Quadrant Private Equity.
As of April 30, the pension fund's actual allocation to private equity was 8.1%; the target is 7%.
