Ohio State Teachers Retirement System, Columbus, disclosed four new alternative fund commitments totaling up to $235 million, said Nicholas J. Treneff, pension fund spokesman, in an email.
The $95.6 billion pension fund committed up to $125 million to large-cap North American buyout fund Francisco Partners VII; $50 million to growth equity fund Francisco Partners Agility III; and up to $30 million each to ICONIQ Strategic Partners VII, a technology growth equity fund managed by ICONIQ Capital, and venture capital and growth equity fund Oak HC/FT Partners V, Mr. Treneff said.
The commitments to the Francisco Partners funds are the seventh and eighth to the manager for the pension fund, he said. The most recent commitment was $50 million to Francisco Partners Agility II in 2020.
The pension fund also has made one prior commitment to an ICONIQ fund, up to $15 million to ICONIQ Strategic Partners VI in 2021, and Oak HC/FT Partners is a new manager relationship, Mr. Treneff said.
As of March 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to private equity was 11.5%.
