Ohio State Teachers' Retirement System, Columbus, disclosed three new commitments totaling up to $190 million, said Nick Treneff, pension fund spokesman, in an email.
The $78.7 billion pension fund committed $100 million and $75 million, respectively, to buyout fund Thoma Bravo XIV and lower-middle-market buyout fund Thoma Bravo Discover Fund III, and up to $15 million to Axiom Asia VI, a private equity fund of funds managed by Axiom Asia Private Capital.
The pension fund previously committed $300 million to Thoma Bravo XIII $75 million to Axiom Asia V, both in 2018.
As of July 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to private equity was 8.9%.
