Ohio School Employees Retirement System, Columbus, committed $50 million to FS Equity Partners IX.
The $17.8 billion pension fund's board approved the commitment to the middle-market buyout fund managed by Freeman Spogli & Co. at its Oct. 19 meeting, according to meeting highlights emailed by spokesman Tim Barbour.
SERS previously committed $7 million to FS Equity Partners VIII NearU Co-Investment in 2022.
As of Aug. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to global private equity was 13%; the target is 14%.
