Ohio School Employees Retirement System, Columbus, approved three new commitments totaling $187 million.
The $19.5 billion pension fund’s staff investment committee approved commitments of $75 million to Global Infrastructure Partners V, $60 million to an undisclosed infrastructure fund managed by ITE Management and €50 million ($52 million) to ICG Europe Fund IX, a middle-market debt fund managed by Intermediate Capital Group, at its Feb. 20 meeting, spokesman Tim Barbour said.
GIP and ICG are both existing managers for the pension fund. SERS previously committed $17 million to GIP Edinburgh Airport Continuation Fund in October and $50 million to ICG Europe Fund VIII in 2021. ITE Management is a new manager for the pension fund.
As of Dec. 31, the pension fund’s actual allocations to global infrastructure and global private credit were 6.9% and 6.2%, respectively; their respective targets are 7% and 5%.
