Ohio School Employees Retirement System, Columbus, committed $50 million to Kohlberg Investors X, a middle-market buyout fund managed by Kohlberg & Co., and $25 million to its sidecar co-investment vehicle.
The $17.1 billion pension fund's board approved the commitment at its Feb. 16 meeting, according to board meeting highlights emailed by spokesman Tim Barbour.
The pension fund previously committed $40 million to Kohlberg Investors VIII in 2016.
As of Dec. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to global private equity was 12.5%; the target is 12%.
