Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, Columbus, committed $50 million to CapitalSpring Investment Partners VI.
The $18.3 billion pension fund's board approved the commitment to the direct lending fund at its meeting Wednesday, spokesman David Graham said.
The pension fund previously committed up to $50 million to CapitalSpring Investment Partners V in 2017.
The pension fund's actual allocation to private credit is 2.8%; the target is 5%.
Mr. Graham also said the board approved a 2021-2022 private credit investment plan, which calls for commitments totaling between $250 million and $300 million between now and June 2022. The pension fund's goal is to reach its private credit target in four years, he said.
The pension fund does not issue RFPs.
