Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, Columbus, made two new commitments totaling up to $80 million.
The $18 billion pension fund's board on Wednesday approved commitments of up to $60 million to open-end core real estate fund Ventas Life Science and Healthcare Real Estate Fund, and up to $20 million to lower- and middle-market buyout fund Primus Capital Fund IX, said David Graham, pension fund spokesman, in an email.
Ventas is a new manager for the pension fund. OP&F has made commitments to every previous Primus fund, most recently committing $25 million to Primus Capital Fund VIII in 2017.
The pension fund's current allocations to private markets and real estate are 9.8% and 9.2%, respectively.
