Norwood (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is looking to commit about $5 million to $10 million to a North American private equity fund of funds.
Meketa Investment Group, investment consultant to the $205 million pension fund, is assisting with the search.
The search is being conducted to keep the plan at to its target allocation of 12% to 15%, said Debra A. Wilkes, executive director of the retirement system. The plan currently has commitments with funds managed by Constitution Capital and HarbourVest. Though those investments will continue, both firms are welcome to bid.
Respondents must have been in operation for at least five years and have invested at least $1 billion in total equity to be considered.
The RFP is available on Meketa's website. Proposals are due by noon EDT on July 16. Ms. Wilkes said a time frame for selection has not yet been made.
