Northfield Bancorp Inc., Woodbridge, N.J., hired Principal Financial Group as record keeper of its 401(k) plan.
Principal will replace current record keeper Pentegra Retirement Services, effective Jan. 20, according to the bank's 8-K filing Friday with the SEC. A reason for the change was not provided.
A blackout period for participants will begin 5 p.m. EST on Jan. 20 and end during the week of Feb. 16, according to the filing.
As of Dec. 31, the Northfield Bank Employee Savings Plan had $24 million in assets, according to the company's most recent 11-K filing.
