North Texas Tollway Authority, Plano, hired Hyas Group as the first investment consultant for its $49 million 401(k) plan and $1 million 457 plan, spokeswoman Helen Johnson said in an email.
The authority issued an RFQ in August for a firm to assist in developing and monitoring the plans' investment policies, and selecting and monitoring investment options, among other duties.
The plans' record keeper is TIAA-CREF.
Other finalists were AndCo Consulting, Dahab Associates, Gallagher, Lockton Investment Advisors, Milliman and SageView Advisory Group, Ms. Johnson said.
