Norfolk County Retirement System, Canton, Mass., is searching for transition management services.
The $1.3 billion pension fund is seeking qualified firms that provide services that "involve ensuring that the System receives the best cost and service from brokers in executing trades in securities and other assets," according to an RFP posted on the website of investment consultant Wainwright Investment Counsel, which is assisting with the search.
The RFP does not disclose whether the pension fund currently uses transition managers or whether any current managers are eligible to rebid.
The RFP is available on Wainwright's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT on March 22. A timeline for a selection was not provided.
Patrick LePage, the pension fund's assistant executive director, and Gustavo Aristizabal, president and corporate secretary and investment adviser at Wainwright, could not be immediately reached for further information.
