Norfolk County Retirement System, Canton, Mass., is searching for an active domestic small-cap value equity manager to run between $55 million and $65 million, and an active domestic midcap growth equity manager to run between $30 million and $35 million.
The $1.3 billion pension fund is issuing two requests for proposals for the portfolios, according to notices posted on the website of the Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission.
The notices do not provide any further information on whether the portfolios have current managers or whether they are invited to rebid. Typically, municipal pension funds in Massachusetts put services up for bid every seven years due to PERAC requirements.
The RFPs will be posted soon on the website of investment consultant Wainwright Investment Counsel, which will assist with the searches. Small-cap value proposals will be due at 2 p.m. EDT on Oct. 16, and midcap growth proposals will be due at 2 p.m. EDT on Oct. 20.
Patrick LePage, the pension fund's assistant executive director, could not be immediately reached for further information.
