NiSource Inc., Merrillville, Ind., added the Western Asset Core Plus Bond Fund and the EARNEST Partners Smid Cap Core Fund to the investment options lineup of its 401(k) plan in 2020.
As of Dec. 31, the active domestic core-plus fixed-income fund managed by Western Asset Management and the active domestic smidcap core equity fund managed by EARNEST Partners had $2 million and $1 million, respectively, in assets in the plan, according to the company's 11-K filing with the SEC on June 25.
A comparison of this year's 11-K filing and last year's filing shows the plan removed the Janus Henderson Small Cap Value Fund, Invesco U.S. Small Cap Value Fund and Northern Small Cap Value Fund from the investment options lineup in 2020.
As of Dec. 31, 2019, the active domestic small-cap value equity funds managed by Janus Henderson Investors, Invesco and Northern Trust Asset Management had $22 million, $20 million and $8 million, respectively, in assets in the plan, according to the prior 11-K filing.
The new 11-K filing did not provide a reason for the changes.
