NewMarket Corp., Richmond, Va., added BlackRock's LifePath series of target-date funds to its 401(k) plan in 2019.
The series of nine passively managed target-date funds managed by BlackRock had a total of $81 million in assets in the plan as of Dec. 31, according to an 11-K filing on June 5 with the SEC.
NewMarket's previous 11-K filing did not list any target-date funds. No other individual investment options were removed during 2019, according to a comparison between the new and previous 11-K filings.
As of Dec. 31, the Savings Plan for the Employees of NewMarket Corp. and Affiliates had $490 million in assets. As of that date, in addition to the LifePath series, the plan had three common stock funds, one commingled trust fund and 14 individual mutual fund options.
