New Orleans Municipal Employees' Retirement System hired Attucks Asset Management and Legato Capital Management as its first managers of emerging managers, said Jesse Evans Jr., the pension fund's director.
The $446 million pension fund issued an RFP in September. Attucks will oversee a $15 million portfolio and Legato Capital will oversee a $10 million portfolio.
The portfolios will consist of domestic small- and midcap equity, international developed and emerging markets equity and private equity emerging managers.
Other finalists were Bivium Capital Partners and GCM Grosvenor.
Investment consultant AndCo Consulting assisted.
