New Orleans Municipal Employees’ Retirement System is searching for active and/or passive international equity managers.
The $487 million pension fund issued an RFP because the board wants to add one or more managers that offer strategies with a full spectrum of exposure to international equities, including developed and emerging markets and small-, mid- and large-cap companies, said Jesse Evans Jr., the pension fund’s director.
All current managers are invited to bid for the services, Evans said. There is no specific portfolio size up for bid.
As of Dec. 31, the pension fund’s actual allocations to international developed markets equities and emerging markets equities were 7.4% and 5%, respectively; their respective targets are 10% and 5%.
The RFP is available on NOMERS’ website. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. EDT on May 5. The board expects to make a selection in May or June, Evans said.
