New Mexico State Investment Council, Santa Fe, plans to issue an RFP as soon as early April for one or more active international equity managers, said Charles Wollmann, spokesman, in an email.
The expected mandate sizes for large-cap core is $500 million to $1 billion and for international small-cap core is $200-$500 million. The council will be launching the search due to an expansion in the active Ex-U.S. small cap and large cap "core" strategies, he said.
The exact sizes of the investments will be determined after the board selects the specific strategies and the completion of an international equity structure study.
The RFP will be posted on the council's website.
