The New Jersey Division of Investment, which handles investments for the $88.7 billion New Jersey Pension Fund, Trenton, has made up to $200 million in commitments to Vista Equity Partners.
The commitments are for up to $100 million to Vista Equity Partners VIII and up to $100 million for a New Jersey-only co-investment vehicle for this Vista fund. Vista Equity Partners is an existing relationship.
The Vista fund is a large buyout fund focusing on acquiring controlling interests in software, data and technology companies, according to a division report presented Wednesday at the New Jersey State Investment Council's quarterly meeting.
The council governs investment policies for the division, which is a unit of the state Department of the Treasury.
Separately, the division reported that it had terminated an RFP for securities lending services and will issue a new one at a later date
The division had issued the RFP in 2018 Despite conducting "extensive negotiations with the bidders," the division rejected all the bids, a division report said. The incumbent provider, State Street Bank and Trust, will provide the services in the interim.
