New Bedford (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an active domestic all-cap value equity manager to run about $50 million.
The $450 million pension fund issued an RFP due to the requirement by the Massachusetts Public Employee Administration Commission that services must be put up for bid every seven years, said Eric C. Cohen, executive director, in an email. Current manager Newton Investment Management is eligible to rebid, he said.
The RFP is available on Segal Marco Advisors' website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. EDT on Aug. 17. The pension fund hopes to make a selection around October, Mr. Cohen said.
