New Bedford (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an active emerging markets equity manager to run about $30 million.
The $416 million pension fund is seeking proposals from emerging markets equity managers to run the portfolio subject to the terms of a seven-year contract, according to an RFP posted on the website of investment consultant Segal Marco Advisors, which is assisting with the search.
The RFP does not disclose the name of the current manager or whether the firm is eligible to rebid. Eric Cohen, the pension fund's executive director, could not be immediately reached for further information.
As of Dec. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to global equities was 58.3%.
The RFP is available on Segal Marco Advisors' website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. EST on Dec. 4. A timeline for a selection was not provided.
