California Department of Human Resources, Sacramento, rehired Nationwide Financial as third-party administrator for the state's $18.5 billion Savings Plus program's 457(b) and 401(k) plans, Nicole Shaw, spokeswoman, said in an email.
The department issued an RFP in July because Nationwide Financial's existing contract was expiring on Dec. 31, spokeswoman Nicole Shaw said at the time. Nationwide is scheduled to begin a new five-year contract on Jan. 1.
Nationwide was the only bidder, Ms. Shaw said.
