Montana Board of Investments, Helena, disclosed two new private investment commitments totaling $111 million for the $14.5 billion Consolidated Asset Pension Pool of nine state pension funds' assets.
The board, which manages a total of $25.9 billion, disclosed commitments of $60 million to buyout fund Blue Sage Capital IV and £40 million ($51 million) to buyout fund Apiary Capital Partners II in materials for its Feb. 28 meeting.
The board previously committed $40 million to Blue Sage Capital III in 2018. There is no record of any prior board commitments to Apiary Capital.
As of Dec. 31, the CAPP's actual allocation to private investments was 17.6%.
