Monroe County (Mich.) Employees Retirement System hired Winslow Capital Management to run about $17 million in active domestic large-cap growth equities.
The $204 million pension fund's board approved the hiring at its Aug. 17 meeting, recently released meeting minutes show.
Winslow Capital replaced ClearBridge Investments, which the board voted to terminate at the same meeting. The minutes did not disclose the reason for the termination.
As of June 30, the pension fund's actual allocation to domestic equities was 42%.
