Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System, Jefferson City, made two new commitments and investments totaling $125 million.
The $8.3 billion pension fund made a direct hedge fund investment of $75 million in Avenue Aviation Opportunities Partners III, managed by Avenue Capital Group, and committed $50 million to buyout fund Pamlico Capital V, said Brian Collett, chief investment officer, in an email.
LAGERS previously committed $43.5 million to Pamlico Capital IV in 2016, and invested $100 million and $50 million, respectively, in Avenue Aviation Opportunities Partners II and Avenue Aviation Opportunities Partners I.
As of Dec. 31, the actual allocations to private equity and private strategic investments were 12.6% and 3.9%, respectively.
