Milford (Conn.) Pension and Retirement System committed $13 million to Longford Capital Fund IV.
The $392 million pension fund’s board approved the commitment to the private equity fund managed by Longford Capital Management at its July 18 meeting, recently released meeting minutes show.
Longford Capital Fund IV will focus on investments in commercial litigation finance.
The pension fund’s allocation to private equity falls within its “other” asset class, which has a target to 10%.
The pension fund previously committed $20 million to Longford Capital Fund III in 2020.
